How to stop gambling is usually asked as a question about willpower. It is better treated as a question about mechanics: what can be removed, closed or blocked so that restarting takes a deliberate effort instead of a tap. Step One: Close the Accounts, Not Just the App

Deleting an app removes an icon. Three things survive it:

1. The account itself, reachable from any browser.
2. Any stored card or linked wallet.

Step Two: Cut the Funding Rails

This is the step with the largest effect, because an account with no way to be funded is inert regardless of whether it is open.

Every step above can be quietly reversed by the person who set it. Telling one other person changes that. Three things to tell them:

1. What you have closed, and when.
2. The date any exclusion ends.
3. That you would rather they asked than waited to be told. It does not require a formal arrangement. It requires that reversing the decision would have to be explained.
