JL29 Privacy Policy: What This Site Collects
A site like this one does not need to know much about you, and this page names everything it does collect.
What this site collects
Reading a page here creates a standard server log: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and the browser’s user agent string. That is the same record almost any website keeps to stay online and catch abuse. Alongside it sits aggregate analytics — a running count of how many people viewed a page and roughly which country they came from — without tying that count to a name or a device.
What this site does not collect
There is no account system here, so there is no signup form, no password and no profile built up over repeat visits. Nothing on this site asks for an email address, a phone number or a government ID. This site runs no advertising network of its own, so there is no cross-site retargeting pixel or behavioural profile assembled from a visit here.
What happens when you follow a Register or Login link
Every Register or Login link on this site leads to JL29’s own domain and carries a referral tag so JL29 can credit this site if a signup follows. From that point on, whatever JL29 collects — and how it handles that data — is covered by its own policies, not this one. This site has no view into JL29’s systems once a reader leaves, and no way to see what happens on the other side of that link.
How long anything is kept
Server logs exist mainly to diagnose abuse and technical problems, and they are rotated out after a short window rather than kept indefinitely. Aggregate analytics figures are running counts, not individual visit records, so there is no single session stored anywhere to look back up. Because nothing here identifies a specific person, a request to see or delete “your data” from this site usually has nothing behind it to hand over.
Cookies and browser controls
Where this site sets a cookie at all, it is limited to keeping the page working, not third-party tracking. Your browser’s own settings can block or clear cookies at any time, and doing so will not affect anything you can do on this site. Nothing here depends on tracking you across visits to function.
If something changes
Any change to what this site collects will be made on this page itself rather than announced elsewhere. Reading this page again is the way to check current practice; the site keeps no separate changelog for it. Questions about the terms covering this site or how to contact this site are answered on their own pages.
